Complementing the many day-to-day benefits of working in a positive environment, Jennings Center for Older Adults offers great benefits:

Competitive wages
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Regular full-time hourly staff members are entitled to:

  • 3 days of Paid Time Off after 3 months, 3 days at 6 months, and - 3 more days at 9 months
  • 19 days of Paid Time Off for 1-5 years of service
  • 24 days after five years of service
  • 29 days after ten years of service
  • Part-time staff members will earn pro-rated PTO time

Health Insurance
Full-time (35 or more hours per week) staff members and family are eligible for coverage the first of the month after 90 days of employment. Cost to staff members:

  • Single Coverage - $56.00 per month
  • Family Coverage - $249.00 per month
  • Both single and family dental coverage is included with our - health insurance.
Short-Term Disability
A benefit paid by Jennings for up to six months of short-term disablity.

Retirement
Staff persons are eligible for participation upon employment and working a regular 35 hours per week or more. Coverage is through the Diocese of Cleveland and has a five-year vesting plan. This is an employer paid benefit.

Supplemental Retirement
Tax Deferred Annuity may be purchased through the Plan 403(b) on a pretax basis.

Holidays
Seven (7) paid days per year for full-time staff members. Prorated for part-time staff. All hourly staff members who work on a holiday are paid double the normal rate for the hours worked.

Child Care
An on-site child care center provides a convenient way to ensure quality care for your child during working hours. Our center accepts children six weeks to school-age and is open Monday thru Friday from 5:45am to 6:00pm.

Full-time Licensed Social Worker
Minimum Qualifications: We are recruiting for a full-time Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the State of Ohio with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. This position is in our new short term rehab unit. Experience in long term care or with the geriatric population with an emphasis in the areas of admissions, discharge planning, and MDS assessments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with computer skills needed.

Full-Time Developement Coordinator
Minimum Qualifications: We are currently recruiting for a full-time Development Coordinator. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of our donor database including accurate gift and data entry, gift acknowledgements, mass mailings, report generation, speaking with donors, and other development activities. This position also provides administrative support for Board relations and acts as a back-up for the administrative team. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be self-directed with strong organizational skills. Must have database experience and be proficient in Word and Excel. Director of Donor Relations
Minimum Qualifications: We are currently recruiting a Director of Donor Relations to develop and implement a proactive major gifts program and direct all aspects of fund development. Part-time Life Enrichment Assistant
Minimum Qualifications: We are hiring a part-time, 20 hour/week, Life Enrichment Assistant. Hours are late afternoon/early evenings, four hours/day, five days/week. Will include working some weekends and holidays. Candidates must have a strong background and interest in leading activities. Part-time Neighborhood Secretary
Minimum Qualifications: We are currently recruiting for a part-time, 20 hr/wk Neighborhood Secretary in our new short term rehab unit. Hospital experience or certified medical assistant preferred. Qualified candidates will have high school diploma or equivalent with medical terminology helpful. Must have experience working on a unit or in a small medical office managing a number of tasks simultaneously. Excellent computer abilities with experience on Microsoft Word and Outlook. Familiarity with electronic charting software is required. Candidates must be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast paced environment. Maintaining confidentiality and having a positive, pleasant and welcoming demeanor with staff, residents, family members and visitors is a must. Essential functions of the position include supporting the nursing team by scheduling appointments, maintaining records, ordering supplies, answering phones, and all other duties as assigned. Part-time and PRN Dining Service Aides
Minimum Qualifications: Must have a documented grade point average of 2.5 or above, or a responsible work history, 8th grade or above reading level, be a quick learner, team player, and multi-tasker. We currently are looking for a part-time person from 4pm-8pm and PRN Dining Service Aides to work as needed. The part-time candidates are required to work every other weekend and every other holiday. Job duties include but are not limited to: preparing cold salads and desserts, set up of trays and tables, serving in dining room, serving and busing trays, washing dishes, and cleaning work area.

PRN Driver
Minimum Qualifications: We are currently hiring a PRN driver for our Adult Day Center. This person will work as needed hours: driving for field trips, filling in for vacations, etc. Candidates must be able to transport physically impaired persons, including persons in wheelchairs. Must learn participants transfer and assistance routines, and have the interpersonal skills needed to work with participants, families, and staff. Minimum Qualifications: We currently are hiring PRN Helping Hands Companions. These positions will help to provide holistic non-medical supportive services for any campus elder in need. Some of the duties include, but are not limited to: helping our tenants with meal planning and preparation, laundry, running errands, light housekeeping, and driving to medical appointments. Current Drivers License, 5 years driving experience, excellent driving record and proof of insurance needed. Must be bondable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, mature, and responsible. Must have a compassionate personality with a positive attitude and good communication skills. Must attend a Jennings’ training program for this position.
