Event: Introduction to the Sacred Art of Living & Dying
Location: Auditorium at Jennings Center for Older Adults
Date: Tuesday, September 16, 2008
Time: 2:00p.m. – 5:00p.m.

Join Sister Mary Assumpta for a reflective look at this spiritual program. The Sacred Art of Living and Dying program series mirrors one of the important roles of the Anamcara: a spiritual midwife to the dying, especially with respect to spiritual pain. As human beings face the journey towards final release, there are common patterns of emotional and spiritual distress and demonstrated ways of alleviating this pain. The premise of the program is that all spiritual pain is ultimately related to the values of forgiveness, meaning, relatedness and hope. Anyone, regardless of profession, spiritual background, or previous experience is welcome. All levels of the Sacred Art of Living and Dying series teach practical skills based on the timetested lessons of history as they apply to our needs today. CEU hours are pending for social work, nursing and chaplains. Please register in advance by calling 216-581-2900.
