As we age, it may take some additional support to recover from an injury. Jennings Center for Older Adults offers comprehensive therapy on-site. Located in the upper level of the Jennings Hall nursing home, rehabilitation therapy is available to all residents, tenants and adult day participants of the Jennings campus. Therapy is available for:
- Restorative
- Respiratory
- Physical
- Occupational
- Speech
Skilled nursing and rehabilitation is available in private rooms located on the Upper Level of Jennings Hall. The unit provides high quality, interdisciplinary team services including, but not limited to the following:
- Medical direction by a staff physician
- Therapeutic activity coordinator for restorative, respiratory, physical, occupational, and speech therapies
- Pastoral care services
- Coordination and planning assistance with social worker
- Life enrichment programming
- Assistance in insurance/ payment arrangements
- Mobility training
- Gait training
- Neurologic/ orthopedic programs
- Cognitive retraining
- Positioning programs
- Orthotic/ prosthetic training
- Caregiver training
- Audiology/ swallowing consultation
Medicare Benefits
Medicare benefits may be provided for skilled services required on a daily basis, relating to a problem for which the patient was treated in an acute care hospital for 3 consecutive days within the past 30 days. A beneficiary may be eligible for up to 100 days of Medicare coverage during a benefit period:
- Days 1-20: Medicare pays 100%
- Days 21-100: Medicare pays 80%, with remaining 20% billed to Private insurance and/ or patient.
Managed Care Benefits
Beneficiary coverage differs with each insurance policy, which stipulates guidelines for eligibility. Jennings staff conducts insurance verification and pre-certification on a case by case basis. |
