While adult day services such as those in Jennings' Eva L. Bruening Adult Day Center provide support on an ongoing basis, Jennings now offers short stay respite suites to assist those who need short-term solutions for several days or weeks due to other commitments or health challenges.

Respite suites are tastefully furnished with all the comforts of home. A central living area and kitchenette provide a warm atmosphere while a bedroom, walk-in closet, private bathroom and emergency call system assure comfort and security. In addition to three home-cooked meals each day, housekeeping and laundry services, guests can choose to participate in many on-campus activities. Life enrichment programs throughout the day — such as intergenerational activities, arts, crafts and music — complement socialization in large common areas. Additional benefits include daily Catholic Mass and Rosary, beauty and barber salon, and all of the amenities of the campus.

Helpful not only to caregivers who need short-term support, the program is beneficial older adults who need light rehabilitation before returning home from a hospital stay. A short stay is a great way for an older adult to try living in an older adult campus community before making a commitment.
